Why I handle pricing by inquiry
Family sessions, weddings, engagements, maternity, seniors, and real estate photography all have different needs. Rather than publishing a generic price sheet, I respond based on timing, location, coverage, and what you are hoping to receive.
A small family session near South Weber is not the same thing as extended family photos with grandparents, a wedding day, a senior session with several locations, or a real estate listing with a tight turnaround. I would rather ask the right questions first than force you into a package that does not fit.
What affects the session details
The biggest factors are session type, date, season, location, group size, travel, coverage length, gallery needs, and how quickly the images are needed. Weddings also depend on timeline, ceremony and reception locations, family portrait needs, and whether engagements or bridals are part of the plan.
- Family sessions usually start with season, location style, number of people, and whether it is immediate or extended family.
- Wedding inquiries should include the date, venue or ceremony location, approximate coverage needs, and any engagement or formal portrait plans.
- Engagement, maternity, and senior sessions usually depend on the location look, timing, outfit changes, and gallery use.
- Real estate inquiries should include the property city, approximate size, listing timeline, and any special features that need to be photographed.
What happens after you inquire
Send the form with the basics. I’ll review the date, session type, and location, then reply with availability and the next best step. If the inquiry is not a good fit, I would rather be honest than waste your time.
I keep the process straightforward: tell me what you want captured, I’ll help shape the plan, and we will decide whether the session should move forward from there.
