Hi, I’m Jen Kunz. Utah has been home for most of my life, and South Weber is where I’m raising my own little crew. That matters because I know how quickly these seasons move. The baby stage, the chaos years, the senior-year countdown, the wedding day, the quiet in-between moments. They do not wait around.
My photography style is warm, natural, and directed just enough. I want people to feel taken care of, not overly posed. I’ll help with location, light, timing, and the tiny details that make a session run smoother.
Why I photograph families first
Family photography is the heart of my work because it is the kind of photography I care about most in my own life. I want the gallery to feel like your people, not like a stranger’s idea of what a perfect family should look like.
That means I plan around real attention spans, real weather, real kids, real nerves, and real connection. I still care about composition, light, and polished editing. I just do not want the session to feel like everyone had to hold their breath to get there.
What working with me should feel like
I give direction because most people do not want to guess what to do with their hands, where to look, or how to stand. I also leave room for movement because the best images often happen after everyone stops performing.
Before the session, I can help with location ideas, timing, wardrobe direction, and what to expect. During the session, I’ll keep things moving without making it feel rushed. Afterward, I’ll deliver a polished private gallery you can download, share, and print from.
The other chapters I photograph
Family photography is first, but I also photograph weddings, engagements, maternity, senior portraits, and real estate. Those sessions all need different pacing, but the same standards apply: thoughtful light, calm direction, warm editing, and honest images.
If you want a photographer who pays attention and keeps the experience human, I’d love to hear what you’re planning.
